About Heidi

heidis-blog-picHeidi (Strickland) Coburn is a fifth generation pentecostal who was born and reared in the city of Orlando, FL.  Her pentecostal heritage is truly remarkable.  Beginning in the mid nineteen hundreds with her great grandfather Rev. Lawson Strickland who was a pioneer of the faith and helped birth the apostolic faith all through out Florida as he evangelized.

Heidi was spiritually raised under the tutelage of Rev. Mike Williams who imparted to her the vitality of prayer. She is the epitome of a prayer warrior. She knows that it is through the power of connecting to the heartbeat of God, that strongholds are broken, chains are loosed, and lives are forever changed. Due to her prayer life she is used quite often in the spiritual gift of discernment. She truly exemplifies what a minister’s wife should be.

In the summer of nineteen ninety and nine while attending the Florida youth camp in Ocala, Fl her life was forever changed.  At the conclusion of one of the services she sat weeping before God and the Lord began to speak to her concerning a dating fast.  She fasted from dating from two thousand to two thousand and six until she met her husband in May of that year. They were married on February ninth of two thousand and seven. Since then she has helped in coordinating outreach functions and is also a motivational speaker to young ladies concentrating her efforts on prayer and fasting.

One of Heidi’s favorite quote is by her pastor who once said, “We are changed in the practice and progress of prayer in our life.”  Through quotes like this she has developed such a love and passion for soul winning, as she says, “for the most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire”. She takes this passion and burden for the lost as they both continue  traveling the United States and abroad sharing the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
